About UsIn 2006 former major league baseball player, Marquis Grissom founded the Marquis Grissom Baseball Association, Inc. (MGBA), a nonprofit 501c3 tax-exempt organization, registered in the State of Georgia and based in Atlanta. The Marquis Grissom Baseball Association (MBGA) was established with a vision for young men who desired to learn and play baseball in a competitive environment. We aim to provide young men with an atmosphere that encompasses professional coaching and a high level of competition, while emphasizing the importance of education and comprehension of the game. Our objective is to implement a recreational program of competitive baseball in the metro Atlanta area which will instill the highest levels of development, sportsmanship, and confidence. MGBA athletes are committed to prepare themselves at a highly competitive level in youth baseball. In addition to our motivated players and staff, MGBA is an environment that continues to promote individual confidence, self-esteem, and leadership skills. The Marquis Grissom Baseball Association is passionate about the development of amateur baseball players. By providing a fun and competitive sports experience, MGBA helps players develop baseball skills and values for life. MGBA uses baseball expertise to connect with kids at a critical age and help them discover and build athletic skills, values, self-confidence, and a life-long love for the game of baseball. That’s why our youth baseball league provides our athletes with the best baseball experience preparing them for collegiate level play and beyond. The funding we receive from our generous partners allows MGBA to continue to offer this vital program in our community. |
