We took 30 of our student athletes to Georgia Power for a career day event on Wednesday, July 9th. We traveled to the Macon Plant managed by Johnny Howze. The Macon plant is the largest coal plant in the world and sits on 12,000 acres around beautiful lake Juliette. Our kids learned about overall energy distribution and, more importantly, about the different career opportunities available for those with and without college degrees. The kids were very engaged & asked great questions throughout the tour and Q&A session.
